Ethnic Neighborhood Project

Chicago is formed for many ethnic Neighborhoods. This time our team was formed by Anais, Bin, and me, Cecilia. We wanted to visit the Little Italy neighborhood, also known as the University Village. Our objective was to know the boundaries, business, interesting places  and talk with the people in the   neighborhood.

Little Italy neighborhood is on the near West Side of Chicago, Illinois. The current boundaries of Little Italy are: Ashland Avenue on the West,Interstate 90/94 on the east, the Eisenhower Expressway on the North and Roosevelt to the South.

My Classmates and I stopped a few people to yolk about the neighborhood. We learned that the neighborhood is expensive, and very attractive for students from the neighbor U I C. The Little Italy has many houses that students are renting also they eat in the neighborhood restaurants.

Notre Dame of Chicago is a Roman Catholic Church that was built by tha French Canadian Architect Gregoire Vigeant in 1892. Walking around the neighborhood we saw attractive places like Arrigo Park, Maxwell Street Market.

To conclude, recommend to visit this interesting neighborhood where you can find friendly people, outstanding restaurants and beautiful places.
